Pipe ID Tape

Use a super-durable laminated tape to BS1710, BS4800 for marking pipes to designate their contents.

The Health and Safety (Safety signs and Signals) regulations stipulate that pipelines containing hazardous or dangerous substances must be labelled with pipe ID tapes to show the contents of the pipeline.

We follow BS 1710 which is a colour coding system for pipe contents. The adhesive tape is made up of a PVC (vinyl) base sheet which is coloured and printed before being over-laminated with a robust UV resistant PP (clear polypropylene) laminate. The aggressive adhesive sticks well to clean, dust-free pipework and will remain in situ for many years indoors.

Windmill Tapes & Labels offer a huge range of pipe ID tapes. We use standard texts to designate pipe contents and can produce as little as 6 bespoke rolls of PLT for specialist requirements. Standard sizes are 50mm x 33m, 100mm x 33m and 150mm x 33m but other roll dimensions are available, POA.
