Social distancing labels
To compliment our range of social distancing floor marking tapes we have also introduced a range of floor marking labels. Made from a high tack PP base layer and overlaminated with a clear Matt PP laminate they have excellent adhesion proprerties and high rub resistance. They are suitable for application to most internal floor types such as tiles, laminates and painted concrete surfaces. It's important to ensure the surface is clean and dust free before application to ensure adequate longterm adhesion. The range have been tested for slip resistance and achieved a rating of R10 when wet and R12 when dry.
BRC grade A pass
Windmill are pleased to announce we have passed our latest audit for BRCGS Global Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials. Following our audit on the 10th March 2020 we were notified we had achieved a Grade A pass with zero exclusions from scope. We are very thankful to all our staff for their hard work in achieving this standard and in particular the contribution from Ian Shaw who provided us with consultancy advice and support throughout the process.

Covid-19 update 31.03.2020
As promised we are continuing to provide regular updates on the situation related to the Covid 19 outbreak and it's impact on our business. As of the date of writing we continue to operate as normal with leadtimes within the normal 10 day window.
In terms of staffing we currently have a small number of employees self isolating for a 14 day period. We obviously wish them and their families a speedy recovery. To date we have been able to shift resources to the busier areas of the business and cover the reduction in staff numbers through overtime where necessary. A number of our material suppliers are beginning to notify us of delays in certain product lines due primarily to unprecedented levels of demand. This has clearly been driven by the large increases in purchases by the general public from the major supermarkets. We believe this is likely to be a spike in demand that will drop away as we move further into the crisis and hope therefore to be able to maintain leadtimes broadly in line with normal busy periods.
We'll continue to provide updates on a regular basis to maintain our communication with our customers and stakeholders alike.
Covid-19 update 24.03.2020
With regard to the escalating outbreak of the Corona Virus and the PM’s announcement last night, we hereby inform our customers and partners that Windmill Tapes Ltd is acting in compliance with the current NHS requirements and local authority guidelines.
As an employer our primary concern is the health and wellbeing of our workforce. As of the date of this notification no employees of our company have tested positive for Corona Virus or have been asked to self isolate. Health surveillance provisions and advice on precautionary measures have been put in place at our premises. All meetings and subcontractor visits are prohibited until further notice. All staff travel has been banned until further notice. All delivery/collection drivers are asked to remain with their vehicles and are not permitted to enter Windmill premises. A number of office staff are working from home but both the tape and label factories remain fully operational.
As of the date of this letter there has been no disruption to the Windmill supply chain. Most of our raw material is imported from the EU and to date there have been no undue delays with delivery or increased lead times from our suppliers. We have a number of options in terms of raw material sources and do not foresee a situation where we are unable to source the materials we need. It is feasible, should the situation worsen, that lead times may increase a little but beyond that at this stage we feel we are well positioned to handle what disruption may occur.
We continue to monitor the situation and take note of government advice as broadcasted.
