As promised we are continuing to provide regular updates on the situation related to the Covid 19 outbreak and it’s impact on our business. As of the date of writing we continue to operate as normal with leadtimes within the normal 10 day window.
In terms of staffing we currently have a small number of employees self isolating for a 14 day period. We obviously wish them and their families a speedy recovery. To date we have been able to shift resources to the busier areas of the business and cover the reduction in staff numbers through overtime where necessary. A number of our material suppliers are beginning to notify us of delays in certain product lines due primarily to unprecedented levels of demand. This has clearly been driven by the large increases in purchases by the general public from the major supermarkets. We believe this is likely to be a spike in demand that will drop away as we move further into the crisis and hope therefore to be able to maintain leadtimes broadly in line with normal busy periods.
